India Senior School Certificates

Admission review process

Applicants will be considered for admission on Class X exams/results, school transcripts for Grades 11 and mid-year 12 or, if already written, on the final Class XII Certificate. Positional grades and/or predicted grades are not used. Grade 11 and 12 transcripts must show continuous assessment and examination results (overall term/semester results).

If admitted, you are expected to maintain your level of academic performance through to the completion of your pre-McGill studies.

Minimum grades and prerequisites

Applicants are reviewed on a minimum of four (4) academic courses. Note that courses of an applied/vocational/technical nature are not accepted. This includes (but is not limited to) subjects such as Dance, Home Science, Legal Studies, Painting, Physical Education.

The minimum requirements are overall averages and prerequisite subject requirements normally between 75% to 87% on in-progress grades and depending on the program applied to. Higher overall averages and results in prerequisite subjects (between 80% and 91%) are expected when final Class XII results are presented.

Admission to McGill is competitive and subject to availability of space and applicants who present the minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission.
