CGCS 2026 Fall Reception
Date & Time: Friday, September 11, 2026 | 5:00PM - 7:00PM EST | In-Person Event
Location: 3rd Floor, Thomson House (Ballroom), 3650 McTavish Street, Montreal, QC, Canada
The Centre for Global Chinese Studies (CGCS) warmly invites you to our 2026 Fall Reception, our first event of the new academic year!
Whether you are already familiar with the Centre or are just discovering us, this evening is a chance to learn more about who we are, the Centre’s ongoing activities and initiatives, as well as connect with fellow students and members of the McGill & Greater Montréal community interested in global Chinese studies as we mark the start of the academic year.
We are also delighted to welcome three partner organizations — JIA Foundation, the Canada China Business Council (CCBC), and the Jiu Ding Scholarship Foundation — each of whom will offer a few brief remarks about their organization, the work they conduct, and the communities they support. Following the introductions, we’ll enjoy a casual reception with light refreshments and plenty of time to mingle, ask questions, and make new connections.
This conference is open to the public. Join us as we enter into the start of the academic year and look ahead at what the CGCS & community has in store!
