
Spring Workshop

This workshop is intended for physiotherapists who are currently certified for x-ray prescription by l'Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Quebec (OPPQ). The workshop meets the ongoing continuing education requirements to maintain this certification.
The instructors will guide participants in the effective use of x-ray imaging, review current recommendations, and present clinically relevant scenarios, with a focus on real x-rays.

The workshop will be offered in English. Questions are welcome in both French and English. Presentation materials will be available in English only.
Healthy snacks and drinks will be provided. Parking passes will be available on request.
Monica Cermignani, MD, CCFP, FRCPC, CSPQ, Dip. Sport Med.
Dr. Cermignani is a Royal College-trained Emergency Medicine specialist with added Fellowship training in Sport Medicine. She currently works as an attending physician in the Emergency Departments of the McGill University Health Centre (Montreal General & Royal Victoria Hospitals) as well as at the McGill Sport Medicine Clinic. She is an active teaching faculty member within McGill’s Royal College Emergency Medicine Training Program and is the lead for the program’s MSK Curriculum. Dr. Cermignani was also a speaker for the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP) Musculoskeletal Roadshow CME program. She has served as a prior team physician for the Montreal Impact and the McGill Women’s Varsity Ice Hockey and McGill Rowing teams.
Richard Preuss PT, PhD
Richard Preuss has been a faculty member in the Physical Therapy program at McGill for 15 years and is the current program director. His teaching and research interests are in neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation, motor control and coordination, and biomechanics. He is also the instructor and coordinator for the x-ray prescription course (PHTH 633) now offered in the MSc(A)PT curriculum at McGill.
