POTH 614: Selected Topics in Rehabilitation Science

Current research: 

Dr Kehayia's research focuses on four areas: 1) the study of the representation, organization and access of language in individuals across different languages, 2) the study of language breakdown in acquired and degenerative language disorders, 3) the impact of language disorders on the individual's everyday life and participation, 4) the creation of inclusive environments for individuals living with physical disabilities and language limitations.

Dr Kehayia leads the McGill branch of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Partnership grant ‘Words in the World’ as well as a number of other initiatives addressing inclusion and participation of individuals with physical disabilities and language limitations in society. Her research is carried out in the Language and Communication Research Lab at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital.
