The Sequence Production Lab follows McGill’s vision of education by building paths to learning within the many communities of the University. Our mission is to address barriers to education by integrating diverse perspectives on campus, by offering broad research participation to support more equitable, inclusive research, and by making our research publications available to all (open-source). We are committed to an intellectual climate that respects human diversity in race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, socioeconomic status, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, and religion. SPL members work to create and maintain an environment of safety, mutual respect and support. The SPL offers volunteer and mentorship opportunities in order to promote exchange of ideas and knowledge-sharing (based on https://www.mcgill.ca/equity_diversity/about-us).
