Homecoming Class Reunion 2010, Class of ’75 MLS
Members of the Library Studies class of 1975 reunited to celebrate their 35th anniversary. Co-chairs Marianne Constantine and Maria Varvarikos were thrilled to reminisce about old times and share new adventures with fellow classmates Veronica Healy, Sue Evans, Reggie Webber, and Miriam Tees. Conversation and laughter flowed over two memorable meals as the classmates enjoyed Homecoming’s Martlet Dinner at the Centre Mont-Royal and were generously hosted by Miriam Tees for lunch in her home.

Class of '89 - MLIS
The 1989 graduating class of the McGill University Graduate School of Library and Information Studies recently came together to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Meeting at Fireside Grill in downtown Montreal, the attendees spanned all manner of library career from corporate, academic and public. One thing they all agreed on was the desire to meet up more often than every 20 years! - Karen Bleakley, MLIS'89, Class Reunion Leader.

Vancouver Dinner
While attending the annual Congress Society for the Study of Education conference in Vancouver in June, Interim Dean Jamshid Beheshti spent an evening with West Coast Alumni Beverley Gowe, BEd’58, Margaret Hume, MLIS’90, Alison Owens, BSc(PE)’48, Pat Young, MLS’79 and Kathleen Hurley, BA’80, MLS’83.
Associate Dean Spencer Boudreau and Development Officer Katie Whitehead were also in tow to thank our Alumni for their continued support to the Faculty.
The evening is best described in a note from Pat Young, “I wanted to add that it was a very pleasant evening all round with lively conversation generally, and it was especially interesting to be brought up to date on what is going on at the Faculty nearly thirty years after my graduation (can that be possible!). It was also good to meet fellow graduates who are now in the Vancouver area. Thank you!”
