SIS Research Seminar: Panel Discussion on Digital Humanities Projects

Friday, February 22, 2013 12:30to14:00
School of Information Studies, 3661 Peel, Rm. 106, Montreal, CA

Panel Discussion on Digital Humanities Projects with Dr. Ichiro Fujinaga (Music), Dr. Matthew Milner (History), & Dr. Stefan Sinclair (Languages, Literatures, and Cultures).

Digital Humanities, however it is defined, can no longer be seen as a particular sub-set of humanistic research as it has become an increasingly integrated element within normative everyday humanities scholarship. Consequently, it includes more than text-encoding or image digitization and the creation of electronic archives. Rather, it is how such electronic media are used and studied by researchers in a wide array of projects from linguistic analyses to the changing realms of new media. The panelists will discuss their own projects in this context.

Everyone is welcome.
