Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada Announces Grants Program to Support Research on Asia Pacific Region
The Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada Research Grants Program, funded through the proceeds of an endowment established by the Government of Canada, is designed to support policy research and informed discussion on Canada’s relations with Asia. As part of the Foundation's Canada Asia Pacific Research Network (CAPRN), this program will fund research activities, conferences, graduate and media fellowships, and special initiatives. These activities will in turn assist in the enhancement of Canadian capacity for public policy research and analysis focusing on the Asia Pacific region.
Asia Pacific Research Grants will be available in four categories: Policy Research Grants; Post-Graduate Research Fellowships; Media Fellowships; Special Initiative Funding.

Weatherhead East Asian Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship in Modern Southeast Asian Studies
The Weatherhead East Asian Institute invites applications for its Postdoctoral Fellowship in Modern Southeast Asian Studies. Candidates from all social science disciplines, including history, are welcome to apply. The fellowship will cover a 10 or 12-month period beginning July 1, or September 1. The Fellow will devote half time to his or her own research and will teach one graduate-level course on Southeast Asia per semester.

Mitacs
The Mitacs Globalink Research Award provides funding to support senior undergraduate and graduate student research projects abroad. Mitacs Globalink offers travel funding between Canada and international partners in Vietnam and China.
- Up to $5,000 in research award to the Canadian supervisor for student travel expenses
- Open to all disciplines
- For joint projects with academic collaborators over 12-24 weeks abroad
