Mission 

The Sports Science Institute at McGill University will:

Be the prime academic program delivery mechanism for sports science education, research and practice

Develop and advance best practices and evidence based approaches in testing, coaching, knowledge transfer and scientific innovations, in order to help advance human performance

Advance a relevant research agenda to align research expertise with needs of the elite sport communities

Partner with other leading institutions, including its sister institute at Tel Aviv University, for collaborative research projects and exchanges that will advance sports science

Engage key stakeholders (researchers, students, coaches, athletes) in the advancement of knowledge and in the production and dissemination of research relevant to human performance
