Join the Redpath Museum in celebrating the amazing honey bee! Honey bees might be small, but they play a big role in our ecosystems. Honey bees pollinate flowers, which enable plants to produce delicious fruits and seeds. If you feel like seeing the honey bees in action, join us outside to discover the Wonderful World of Pollinators with fun games and sensory activities in McGill's own pollinator gardens. You might know that these honey bees live in a hive, but did you know that there are beehives on the roofs of buildings near the museum? You will discover fun facts about these urban beehives with the passionate beekeepers of Santropol Roulant Beekeeping Collective

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY on the anatomy of the bee from 13h00 to 15h00: Do you know how flowering plants grow? What pollinators are? How flowers blossom? Come and learn about the life cycle of flowering plants and the science behind flower burgeoning with Let's Talk Science at McGill University. There will be hands-on activities for all ages. Location: Entrance Hall of the Museum.  Bilingual. No reservation necessary.
