The RCN contributes to the advancement of teaching, research, and education missions of its partner institutions: McGill University, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), and St. Mary’s Hospital Center (SMHC) through its Cancer Care Quality & Innovation Program.
The Program promotes the shared mission, vision and strategic plan for improving cancer care quality of the RCN's three affiliated McGill teaching hospitals with three funding initiatives: Research, Education and the Quality Improvement Initiatives Funds.
Since 2020, the Research and Education Funds have been managed by the Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology - McGill University, with the ongoing support of the RCN's Executive Committee. The partnership expands on the academic complement to RCN activities and bolsters collaborative research and care networks by maintaining educational, clinical, and research excellence in cancer care.
