Dr Rene Crepeau

Dr. René J. Crepeau graduated from the University of Sherbrooke and continued in his General Surgical Residency at that University. He then completed his Plastic Surgery Residency within the McGill University teaching hospitals and spent a one year fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Paul Tessier in Paris in order to learn the newer techniques in craniofacial surgery. Dr. Crepeau then joined the staff at the Montreal Children's and the Montreal General Hospitals in 1976. Dr. Crepeau continues with a major interest in reconstruction of complex craniomaxillofacial problems and in the rehabilitative surgery for cleft lip and cleft palate patients. Recent advances in internal fixation procedures for maxillofacial fractures has also been an interest of Dr. Crepeau's and he is a major influence in the teaching of these techniques.
