Biography:

I am a clinician specializing in cardiovascular medicine, with a focus on congenital and heritable aortic disease across the fetal, pediatric, and adolescent populations. My clinical and academic work emphasizes advanced echocardiographic imaging, early diagnosis, and longitudinal follow-up of structural heart disease, with particular expertise in bicuspid aortic valve, aortopathy, and connective tissue disorders, including syndromic conditions affecting the cardiovascular system.

My research program includes observational cohort studies, registry development, and efforts to refine outcomes in fetal and pediatric cardiology. I serve as Principal Co-Investigator for the CAN-ACT Registry, contributing to national efforts to better characterize heritable thoracic aortic disease in the pediatric population. I am also engaged in patient-reported outcomes and patient-driven research, in collaboration with the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation Canada. My research interests also include the natural history of aortic dilation identified in utero, to improve risk stratification and clinical management.

I collaborate with national and international research initiatives, including the Fetal Heart Society, the Canadian Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology Research Network, and NeoCardioLab. Through these partnerships, I contribute to multicenter studies and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing evidence-based care in fetal and pediatric cardiology.

In addition to research, I am engaged in complex clinical decision-making and patient counseling within multidisciplinary teams. I am also interested in translating emerging evidence into practical, patient-centered care. My work aims to enhance outcomes and advance knowledge in congenital and heritable cardiovascular disease.
