Dr. Annette Majnemer is an occupational therapist with doctoral training in the neurosciences. She is a Professor at McGill University and was the Director of the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy (2010-2016) and more recently, the inaugural Vice-Dean Education (2016-2022) for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University. Dr. Majnemer is a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute - McGill University Health Centre, and a member of Montreal’s Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation (CRIR). Her research focuses on early identification strategies for children at high-risk for developmental disability, and intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence outcomes. She leads a pan-Canadian CHILD-BRIGHT, a CIHR SPOR Network with patient-oriented research focused on children with brain-based disabilities and their families. Dr. Majnemer collaborates extensively with medical specialists and other health professionals in the Department of Pediatrics, who collectively greatly enrich her research efforts.
