Malawi’s site focuses on youth engagement in Dowa, Ntchisi, and Lilongwe, where young people address issues such as gender‑based violence, teenage pregnancy, early marriage, poverty, and limited access to education. Within TRANSFORM, youth advocates Ellah Tambalaweko and Taonga Mtambo participated in pre‑summit photovoice activities, attended the Transnational Youth Summit, contributed to the Youth United Traveling Exhibition, facilitated and led local art‑based workshops in Dowa and Ntchisi, and, in Ellah’s case, took part in the Radical Methods Lab as a workshop facilitator. Their work, supported by iHEARD partners, district youth networks, government officials, tertiary institutions, and the Youth Advisory Committee, highlights the need for collective action to advance SRHR, gender equality, and youth empowerment across Malawi’s rural regions.
