McGill students to decide on joining Quebec-wide strike
Classes and semester will continue as usual
Across Quebec, various groups of students from CEGEPs and universities are currently staging a strike to protest Quebec government policies.
To date, McGill students have not participated in any strike action. The Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU) has scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, March 16, where students may vote on whether to join other Quebec students in strike activities.
McGill University would like to remind the community that, in the event of a vote to strike by McGill students, classes and exams will continue as usual. The University will remain open and continue to operate normally with no disruption to the semester schedule. Students who wish to attend classes and pursue their studies must be able to do so.
The University is following the situation closely and will inform the community of any further developments.
