CoachingOurselves: Social Connections and Organizational Wellbeing

Thursday, May 2, 2024 12:00to13:30

(In-person session)

Social connections play an important role in contributing to employee mental health and workplace wellbeing. Yet with busy work schedules, finding the time to connect with colleagues can easily get lost in the shuffle. As a result, individuality often takes precedence over collective engagement at work, increasing the risk of isolation and impacting mental health.

With remote work now commonplace in many organizations, it has become crucial that leaders, at all levels, create and model opportunities for meaningful social connections in the workplace. Supportive relationships can mitigate the impact of work-related stress, increase collaboration, improve employee retention, and contribute to economic growth.

Today’s session invites you to explore how:

  • Meaningful connections can improve employee wellbeing and job satisfaction;
  • Social interactions nurture organizational engagement and increase productivity;
  • You can contribute to strengthening social connection within the workplace.
