Undergraduate Programs

MISC presides over three minor programs available to undergraduate students: Canadian, Indigenous and Quebec Studies programs.

The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada offers undergraduate programs in Canadian StudiesIndigenous Studies and Quebec Studies. While the Indigenous Studies Program was inaugurated in 2014, the Quebec Studies Program was first offered at McGill in 1963, and was adopted under the MISC umbrella in 2019. Currently, all three options are offered as Minor Programs.

Note: Starting September 2019, only the Minor Program will be offered for Canadian Studies. If you are completing a Major, Honours or Joint Honours, we will grandfather you and guarantee that you can continue in your program.
