Virtual Lab meeting 2020
The Metastasis Lab is studying cellular, molecular and clinical aspects of cancer metastasis with a focus on colorectal carcinoma liver metastasis .
The research involves the use of genetically modified mouse models and cancer cells to elucidate
the contribution of tumor cell-derived factors and the tumor microenvironment to the metastatic process.
These studies help us understand the mechanisms underlying the early stages in the process of cancer spread to the liver
and allow us to design novel therapies that could block this deadly process.
