Professor Angela Campbell was recently appointed Associate Provost (Policies, Procedures and Equity) (APPPE). She will step into the role on September 1. The APPPE is one of two Associate Provosts assisting Provost Christopher Manfredi in top-level academic governance at McGill.
Before this nomination, Professor Campbell was Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the Faculty of Law. Previously she has served as Director of the McGill Institute of Comparative Law, and a convenor of the McGill Research Group on Health and Law. Professor Campbell researches and teaches in the areas of family law, health law, criminal law, successions law and feminist legal studies.
When sharing the news, Dean Daniel Jutras said, “While we will miss her, Angela’s rich insight, wisdom, energy, and conciliatory spirit will serve the University very well over the next few years.”
“I am delighted and excited about this new opportunity to serve McGill University,” said Professor Campbell. “I am also committed to maintaining close connections with colleagues and students in the Faculty of Law over the course of my mandate.”
