About the event

The symposium is an annual initiative that aims to amplify student-led research at the Centre for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and Environment (CINE) while creating opportunities for learning, reflection, and dialogue. CINE research is grounded in community-based research in response to Indigenous peoples' concerns about the integrity of their traditional food systems. Environmental degradation directly affects the health, culture, and food sovereignty of Indigenous Peoples, including their nutrition and food practices. The symposium will provide a space to share the research outcomes while strengthening visibility within McGill and among community partners, creating opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.
