From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.


Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu’aux étudiants et aux membres du personnel de l’Université McGill, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs essentiels. Fall 2024 Convocation

Fall convocation ceremonies are held at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, Place des Arts, 175 St. Catherine Street West (entrance on the Place des Arts metro level).

Each ceremony lasts approximately two (2) hours. Students should arrive one hour and a half prior to the beginning of each ceremony. Their family and friends should arrive one (1) hour prior to the beginning of each ceremony to facilitate seating.

    Unsure which ceremony to attend?

    The Convocation details section in Minerva (under Graduation Approval Query) will be updated in mid-September and will include your ceremony date and time.

    Double Majors: Attend the ceremony linked to the first major listed on your unofficial transcript in Minerva. If you want to attend the ceremony of your current second major, you must switch the order of your majors in Minerva.
