Ziv Gan-Or
Biography: 

Dr. Ziv Gan-Or, MD-PhD, is an Associate Professor at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), where he serves as the Executive Director of the Clinical Research Unit which runs all the clinical trials at The Neuro. He also serves as the Director of the Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Group at The Neuro and is affiliated with the departments of Neurology and Human Genetics at McGill University. Dr. Gan-Or completed the MD-PhD program at Tel Aviv University, Israel, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Human Genetics in McGill University, Canada. He leads the Neurogenomics and Precision Medicine (NAP-Med) lab, which is focused on identifying and characterizing genetic causes and modifiers of various neurological disorders, and the people who carry these genetic factors, towards precision medicine. He also leads the GBA1-Canada initiative, a pre-competitive, open science platform to accelerate basic, translational and clinical research on GBA1.
