Anie Philip
Biography: 

Anie Philip is a professor in the Department of Surgery and a Senior Scientist at the RI-MUHC. Her research is centered on understanding the dysregulation of cellular signaling mechanisms in fibrotic diseases such as scleroderma as well as oncogenic pathways in squamous cell carcinoma. She has served as a Graduate Program Director for Experimental Surgery, McGill University from 2013-2020. She is a founding member of the Skin Research Group of Canada (SRGC)- the country’s leading professional society for skin researchers- where she served as its first president. She also serves as the Co-Director of the Skin Investigation Network of Canada (SkIN Canada), a CIHR-funded nation-wide forum. In her role as chair of the SkIN Canada Training Committee, Dr Philip leads webinars and workshops focused on skill-building and knowledge-sharing for trainees and early-career skin researchers.
