Approval procedures for new and revised graduate programs

McGill University strives to provide cutting-edge, high-quality programs that effectively prepare graduate students for successful professional careers. This might require the development or major revisions of graduate programs (Master, PhD, graduate certificates and diplomas, new options/concentrations).

Faculty members who are considering making major revisions to an existing program, or creating a new program altogether, should contact the GPS Programs Team early in the process of developing their proposal. The GPS Programs Team will provide proposers with quality support, resources, and feedback as they take the various steps towards obtaining approval from relevant units at McGill and when necessary, from external parties.

For more information, please communicate with the GPS Programs Team.
