Partner universities include the University of Auckland, University of Otago, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, University of Adelaide, University of New South Wales, Australian National University, and the University of Western Australia.

Research Collaborations

McGill researchers are actively collaborating with Australia in 47 areas. The largest of these areas are Medicine, Psychiatry, Planetary Science, Family Medicine, and Law. These fields alone account for over 26% of all research collaborations with Australia. Research collaborations in STEM areas account for 61% of all research collaborations with Australia. The largest non-STEM areas of research are Performance and Law, with 5 collaborations each. Over the last 5 years, McGill researchers have been involved in 390 sponsored research projects where Australia is a partner country, with total funding surpassing $66 million.
