Orientation (organized by McGill departments) offers events, workshops, and fun for incoming undergraduate students at McGill during the last two weeks of August. Registration is now open!

Frosh (organized by student groups) offers fun events based on faculty and/or area of interest, and registration is now live on Cvent

There are also events organized by McGill for specific student audiences, including International Student Services Orientation events.

Off-Campus Connects (OCX)

Monday August 22nd

Off Campus Connects (OCX) is an orientation activity organized for students living off-campus (aka commuter students) in their first year. Join us for outdoor activities, team-based challenges, free food, and more as you explore downtown campus and the neighbouring community!

Discover McGill: Mature and Re-Entry Student Orientation

Are you returning to formal studies after some time away, or transferring into the McGill community? Mature, Re-entry and Transfer students’ orientation is a great opportunity for you to get acquainted with life at McGill. In this session, you will learn about the various support services available to you as a new member of our community, and build connections with some of your peers to make your transition as smooth as possible.

Queer Orientation

Queer Orientation is an orientation event hosted by Campus Life & Engagement, Queer McGill and QPIRG (Quebec Public Interest Research Group) for incoming undergraduate and graduate students. Meet other incoming students, learn more about queer resources on and off-campus, participate in a variety of fun activities, and enjoy a free dinner!

First-Generation Orientation

Friday September 2

4:00 - 6:30PM

The First-Generation Welcome Reception and Orientation is hosted by Campus Life & Engagement in collaboration with the 1STUP: Peer Support Group. Meet other incoming First-Generation students, learn more about resources for First-Generation students on campus, talk with First-Generation faculty, staff, and students, and enjoy a free dinner!

Frosh is a series of fun, multi-day events run by student organizations to help you make connections on campus. Faculty Froshes are exclusive to students who have been accepted into a given faculty. There are also non-Faculty Froshes available to students.
