Winter 2023 Orientation

We are getting ready to welcome new students on campus in Winter 2023.

The Winter 2023 Orientation is your opportunity to get to know McGill University, meet new friends, and kick off your first year at McGill University!

January 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:30

5:00 P.M. : Registration and Refreshments (Fruit and Veggie Platters)

Attend and get a chance to win some of our participation prizes (drawn at 7:00 pm - You need to be present to win)

5:40 P.M. : Welcome Address

6:00 P.M. : Staying on Track - Undergraduate Student Panel

6:00 P.M. : Graduate What I Wish I had Known Student Panel

7:00 P.M. : Mixer and Networking - Snacks (Pizza)

Register to attend!

This event will take place in Leacock Building Lobby and surrounding classrooms. The building is accessible by public transportation, located closest to the Peel metro station (green line). Several bus lines are also within a short walking distance (15, 24, 107, 356, 358, 420). Bike racks are also available close to Leacock Hall. Accessible washrooms are also available in the building.

Undergraduate Student Winter Social

Off-Campus and Commuter Student Support (OCCSS) joins CL&E in welcoming incoming undergraduate students to a wild game of trivia hosted by Quiz Master Brian. Test your knowledge about Canada, Montreal, McGill, campus, famous alumni and its history, current events, pop culture! Win prizes! Free food will be served.

Graduate Student Hot Chocolate Social

The Post-Graduate Students' Society (PGSS) would like to welcome you to the McGill community with a hot chocolate social! Get to know your fellow grad students over a cup of delicious hot chocolate at Thomson House (3650 Rue McTavish). Members of the PGSS will be available after Winter Orientation to guide you to Thomson House.
