Goals

The goals of our program include the following:

  • To equip our graduates with the skills and knowledge to practice comprehensive Family Medicine in diverse clinical environments.
  • To instill an understanding that health and illness are influenced by social and political contexts.
  • To cultivate a spirit of critical inquiry in our residents, encouraging them to explore and challenge all aspects of medical practice.
  • To ensure our graduates meet the certification standards of the CFPC and the licensing requirements of the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ).
  • To provide residents with the tools necessary for lifelong learning and professional development.
  • To support residents in their development as educators and mentors in the medical community.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare our residents for exams, for practice and for life.
