The Facilities and Space Management System (FAMIS) has historically been McGill’s platform for logging maintenance service requests, tracking progress, and managing billing processes. As of June 9, 2025, McGill has transitioned to a new system: Maximo.
Facilities has migrated its maintenance management tool from FAMIS to Maximo. The online Service Request function is not yet available in Maximo. It should be active in Fall 2025. You will receive more information closer to the launch date, and a link will be made available to access it here.
FAMIS remains accessible during this transition period.
Until Maximo’s request function is available, we ask that you call or email the Facilities Call Centre (FCC) directly for all service requests.
Important Notes:
- As of June 9, 2025, Maximo has replaced FAMIS for new work orders.
- Some existing work orders in FAMIS are being closed and reopened in Maximo. Clients may receive updated reference numbers.
- Access to Maximo is currently limited to internal users. FCC remains the point of contact for all external client requests.
- Support resources, software contacts, and a full FAQ will be provided soon.
