Gender Diversity and Inclusive Language: Creating space for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in the classroom

Are you interested in creating an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of 2SLGBTQIA+ people but not sure exactly how to do this? This two-hour interactive workshop provides an introduction to gender diversity and inclusive language. By attending this workshop, instructors will be able to:

  • Understand key concepts related to gender and sexual orientation
  • Recognize stereotypes and systemic barriers faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in the learning environment
  • Integrate inclusive language into everyday interactions with students and colleagues
  • Develop and deploy strategies for creating a more welcoming and inclusive classroom for 2SLGBTQIA+ students
