As the Associate Director, Inclusive Excellence, Ande (they/them/iel) plays a key role in guiding members of the McGill community – including researchers, senior administrators and HR professionals – on measures to build and ensure equity and inclusion in connection with the research ecosystem (research design/teams/impact) and the employment life cycle (recruitment, hiring, promotion, and retention). Ande holds master’s degrees in social work and urban planning, has worked extensively in the higher education and non-profit sectors, and has experience working in government and for-profits.
McGill University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
