Call for Abstracts - 2024 Research Day
Call for Abstracts
The Research Day Organizing Committee invites all graduate and postgraduate students, DMD students, research assistants, research associates, residents, and post-doctoral fellows to submit an abstract for Research Day. MSc and PhD students must present at Research Day at least once during the studies. This is typically in the second year of the MSc program and in the third year of the PhD program. Note that students are welcome to present more than once during their studies.
Abstracts may be related to one of the following areas:
- Population Oral Health
- Mineralized Tissues and Extracellular Matrix Biology
- Biomaterials, Nanobiotechnology, and Tissue Engineering
- Pain and Neuroscience
Students will either give an oral or a poster presentation. For oral sessions, individual presentations will be delivered as part of larger panels of presentations. Each presenter will be assigned a specific time for their presentation. Session moderators will monitor time, be responsible for the transition between presenters, and moderate the session’s question period.
For poster presentations, students will present their posters to explain their research and respond to questions from other attendees.
You may identify a preference for an oral or poster presentation when you submit your abstract. We will take this into consideration when planning the sessions, however, we cannot guarantee that your request will be granted.

- Abstracts should be 1 page maximum, with 2.54 cm margins and 12 point font.
- Please use Calibri or Times New Roman font.
- All co-authors must have agreed to be co-authors.
