GPR Resident Dr. Edwin Chan wins H. Bruce Williams Pediatric Surgical Research Day Award

Congratulations to Dr. Edwin Chan, GPR resident at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and all the co-authors for winning first prize in the Clinical Research Category during the H. Bruce Williams Pediatric Surgical Research Day. Dr. Chan presented the project “Revascularization of Immature Necrotic Permanent Teeth: A 24 Month Follow-up. E.K.M. Chan, M. Desmeules, M. Cielecki, B. Ferraz dos Santos, B. Dabbagh”; (Supervisor: B. Ferraz dos Santos & B. Dabbagh). The H. Bruce Williams Pediatric Surgical Research Day is held annually at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. The day highlights the clinical and basic sciences research projects done within the Departments of Pediatric Surgery over the year. Seventeen projects were selected to be presented at this year’s 6th annual edition held on April 21. The event is named after renowned plastic surgeon Dr. H. Bruce Williams, the former Surgeon-in-Chief at the MCH (1992 – 2007) and recipient of the Order of Canada in 2014. The jury this year was presided by Dr. Blake C. Papsin, Otolaryngologist-in-Chief at the Hospital for Sick Kids in Toronto where he leads the Cochlear Implant Program. To learn more about this event please visit website.
