Effective communication and intense scientific exchange are major pillars of a vibrant and dynamic grouping of researchers. At the Centre, we achieve this goal by providing a range of complementary activities that bring our members together and promote interaction with international experts.
The Centre takes a leading role in two meetings each year: the CRRD Research Day in the spring and the RQR Symposium in the Fall. Leading international researchers in the fields of reproduction and development are invited to participate in these meetings. The Clermont Lecture, established to honor the late Dr. Yves Clermont, is open to everyone: McGill faculty and students, clinicians, and members of the media and public with a shared interest in fertility and infertility.
CRRD sponsored seminars and workshops, on specific topics, are organized annually to bring together trainees, academic and support staff. In addition, the CRRD Executive organizes social/networking events for members, 2 or 3 times per year.
While not specifically a CRRD event, Hot Topics in Reproduction is a meeting of primarily Centre members that is hosted by a different participating lab each month.
There are many other national and international scientific meetings to attend for those interested in reproduction as well as embryonic and fetal development.
