IWRM Training in Canada for CIMH staff

Montreal (McGill) - June 24 - July 6, 2007

Two CIMH faculty were given the opportunity to attend three intensive days of technical sessions at the Canadian Water Resources Association's annual conference. Topics included water quality; land and water stewardship; irrigation efficiency; flood mapping; water, energy and food security; climate change; urban water supply; adaptation to drought. These sessions were delivered by leaders in integrated water resources management such as Aly Shady and Laurie Tollefson.

The trainees then were guided on field tours of the Brace Centre for Water Resources Management ongoing project sites located in Southern Ontario and Quebec. They also benefited from tours of the McGill campus research facilities and the library facilities.
