
Who We Are
Our research group is led by breast surgical oncologists based at the Jewish General Hospital, McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and St. Mary’s Hospital. All of our principal investigators hold faculty appointments in the Departments of Surgery and Oncology at McGill University, and are committed to mentoring the next generation of researchers and clinician-scientists.
We collaborate with a wide range of specialists, including experts in genetics, pathology, and medical oncology, creating a rich interdisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Learn
As a trainee, you will:

Participate in clinical research studies related to breast surgical outcomes and prevention

Conduct literature reviews and contribute to research design

Gain experience with ethics submissions and study coordination

Learn data management and analysis using real-world patient datasets

Draft manuscripts and assist with conference presentations

Attend lab meetings and collaborate with a network of researchers and clinicians

Mentorship & Training Environment
We take pride in offering hands-on mentorship tailored to each student’s goals. Our principal investigators work closely with trainees to guide them through the research process, help develop independent projects, and provide support for applications to medical school, residency, or graduate programs.
