Explore McGill

Explore McGill, and Outbound Explore McGill:
a day for high school and CEGEP students to explore McGill University

Explore McGill invites Quebec high school and CEGEP groups to register for a day of educational activities at McGill’s downtown campus introducing them to university life and learning. This fun and inspiring day includes educational workshops at various McGill faculties, campus tours and lunch at our beautiful downtown campus. Students will be presented with a list of activities to choose from, so they can opt for the experiences that interest them the most.

We had a really great time; my students were really happy that they went. They really enjoyed walking around the campus, exploring the buildings and seeing the auditoriums, as well as listening to the information given by our tour guide. We also enjoyed sharing the space with other schools

We're launching 'Outbound-Explore McGill'!

On Outbound Explore McGill - a reversed edition of Explore McGill - our team, students and workshop facilitators come to you! We deliver a similar 'Explore McGill' experience at the designated school. If you're interested in hosting an Outbound at your school:

First Outbound event launched: science and stargazing in Chisasibi

We teamed up with McGill's Trottier Space Institute to launch the first Outbound Explore McGill to Indigenous communities in Northern Quebec. We spent the week sharing knowledge and experiences with young minds, igniting a passion for science, and inspiring future generations of scientists!

Past Explore event: Branches welcomes 100 high school students to campus

McGill University is on land that long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst
Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge
and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which
peoples of the world now gather.
