Programs for CEGEP students

Whether you’re a CEGEP student in a pre-university or technical program, you’re at a time where you’re deciding whether to pursue a university education. The Branches teams CEGEP programs works to connect students like you with mentors and researchers to showcase the opportunities available with a university degree as well as to familiarize you with the landscape of university.

Our hope is to motivate and empower students to confidently pick their educational paths and increase their academic confidence through the research-oriented programs below.

Explore McGill

Explore McGill is an opportunity to introduce Quebec high school students in grades 9, 10, 11 and CEGEP to university life and learning. This fun and inspiring day includes hands-on workshops hosted at various McGill faculties by faculty members and students, as well as a lunch at our beautiful downtown campus.

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Mentorship Program

The 2SLGBTQIA+ Mentorship Program provides supportive networks as you navigate your educational journeys. In this program, you'll be matched with mentors from McGill's 2SLGBTQIA+ and gender diverse community, including faculty, students, or alumni who share similar interests.

Pick Your Path aims to pique the educational interests of young students by offering them an opportunity to explore various areas of study in higher education.

The Tutoring Program

Branches' Tutoring Program aims to pair high school or CEGEP students with McGill student tutors who aim to offer them academic and mentorship support in either Math, Science, French, Writing, English or History, on weekly tutoring sessions.
