Pick Your Path

Pick Your Path (PYP) is a learning experience for youth in high schools and CEGEP. Our goal is to cultivate and encourage the pursuit of post-secondary education through mentorship and exposure to areas of study.

Throughout the program, students can participate in the following:

  • Online sessions (via Zoom) led by professors, students, and staff where they will learn about different academic programs and areas of interest
  • Mentorship sessions with a McGill student to discuss post-secondary education and student life
  • A final project where students can explore the next steps in their educational path with the support of their mentor and the PYP volunteers

What students say

“The Pick Your Path program provides students with a meaningful mentor-relationship that they can trust. They helped me understand how important this program is and how much of a difference it makes when it comes to thinking about their future and career goals”, says Brandon Montour, PYP Mentor (March Break ’21, Summer ’21).

McGill University is on land that long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst
Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge
and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which
peoples of the world now gather.
