Students with Disabilities
Our program ensures that students with disabilities are well-informed about the myriad resources available to them on campus. They will discover student associations founded by peers with disabilities, services within the broader McGill community, scholarships, and much more. We cultivate an accessible learning environment and celebrate the achievements of graduates with similar disabilities, empowering students to realize their full potential.
Students facing financial barriers
We address the financial and social barriers that students may encounter. Our programs offer resources to help these students succeed academically and pursue higher education without financial constraints.
Youth in, and from, Care
Youth in and from care face distinct obstacles in their educational journey. We offer tailored support through academic guidance and mentoring, helping them empower, achieve academic success, and transition smoothly into post-secondary education.
First-Generation Students
First-generation students often face unique challenges in navigating the educational landscape. Our mentorship programs provide guidance and support to help them understand the university experience, from application to graduation, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.
Refugees
Our program is designed to empower youth refugees by providing them with an in-depth understanding of the university system. Participants will have the opportunity to connect directly with current McGill students who will share their own professional journeys. This engagement will help them navigate educational systems, acclimate to their new academic environment, and ensure they have the resources needed to thrive in higher education.
2SLGBTQIA+ students
Our program creates a safe and affirming space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, providing mentorship and support to help them navigate the unique challenges they face. We aim to foster a sense of community and belonging, encouraging academic and personal growth.
