Atelier Big City wins OAQ Prix d'excellence
Atelier Big City has won a Prix d'excellence en architecture 2017 from the Ordre des architectes du Québec (OAQ) in the category Bâtiments et ensembles résidentiels de type multifamilial for their housing project U. The principals of Atelier Big City are Clifford C.F. Wong Professor of Practice Howard Davies, Randy Cohen, and Anne Cormier (all B.Arch. 1982).
Maria Valentina Davila wins SSHRC doctoral fellowship
Ph.D. student Maria Valentina Davila has won a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) doctoral fellowship in the amount of $60,000 for research supporting her dissertation topic, "Women on the home front: Venezuelan domestic workers and the acquisition of architecture."
Prof. Martin Bressani appointed Sir William C. Macdonald Chair in Architecture
Prof. Martin Bressani, Director of the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture, has been appointed to the Sir William C. Macdonald Chair in Architecture for a seven-year term. The Chair was established on May 23, 1896 with the purpose of establishing a chair of professorship for architecture.
