Saturday, September 27, 2014 - 19:30 Art Crush Pollack Hall

Want to explore off the beaten track? New ensemble Art Crush will host their premier concert this upcoming September 27th in Pollack Hall. Uniting violinist Marc Djokic, violist Frédéric Lambert and the cellist Chloé Dominguez, the visual artists Avery Zhao, Diana Polizeno and Sophie Morro, and the dancers Remi Ouellette and Evelyne Laforest. Their mission is to promote interdisciplinary artistic collaborations within the classics and inspire an audience of all ages.

Based on the classical string trio concert setting, this ensemble proposes a new approach that can be described as an on-stage chain reaction of artistic performances. The concert experience is transformed into a multidisciplinary show with the added elements of dance and live visual arts. In summary, each musical piece will be accompanied by both the dancers and the visual artists; the dance will reflect the mood of the music and the visual works will be inspired by the dancers’ movements. The artists will each produce an artwork per musical piece, live before the audience. A dynamic event that unites different art forms and styles!

Projections and musical selections will be presented.
