Schulich jazz orchestras present many concerts each year alongside guest artists such as Danilo Perez, Dick Oatts and  Joe Lovano. McGill Jazz Orchestra I is seen here, conducted by Prof. Joe Sullivan.

Jazz faculty and students frequently perform together in combo settings at various events around campus. Seen here: Prof. Kevin Dean (trumpet), students Simon Legault (guitar) and Milo Johnson (bass).

Guest artist workshops and concerts are a regular part of the Schulich jazz experience. Here, Guest Soloist Frank Lozano and the McGill Jazz Orchestra II are conducted by Ron Di Lauro.

McGill's jazz ensembles bring together talented music students from all over the world, learning, travelling and performing with some the best professional jazz musicians around.

Jazz

Students in the McGill Jazz program participate in a variety of top-notch ensembles, including two full-size Jazz Orchestras, a Chamber Jazz Orchestra (about 10 musicians), a Jazz Choir, two Rhythm Section Ensembles and about twenty Jazz Combos.

All of our ensembles play challenging repertoire and perform regularly in various concert settings.
