Lasse Thoresen is internationally regarded as one of the most accomplished composers of our time, having won some of the most prestigious prizes. His compositional work is informed by his very extensive knowledge of the classical and contemporary repertoire, his deep understanding of sonology and music cognition, as well as his intensive research in the fields of micro- and just-intonation in the context of various traditions of folk music. Summer practice room rentals

The Schulich School of Music practice rooms are available to the public during the months of May, June, July and August. The fee is $110.00 per month or $400.00 if the entire amount is paid up-front. The rooms are also available on a weekly basis at a rate of $50.00 per week. This includes practice rooms with or without a piano. The rooms are available whenever the School is open: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 22:30, Saturday 08:00 – 18:00, Sunday, closed. The practice rooms on the 11th floor of 550 are available 24/7, but there are no pianos.
