Value & Duration

The annual value is up to $60,000 per Scholar (including an annual travel allowance of $20,000) for up to 3 years

Eligibility

  • Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Carry out their doctoral research in relation to one or more of the Foundation’s Four Themes
  • Be a Canadian student currently registered or accepted in a doctoral program full-time in Canada or internationally
  • Be an international student currently registered or accepted in a doctoral program full-time in Canada
  • Candidates must be registered or accepted into a full-time doctoral program at the time they submit their application.
  • Candidates in 1st or 2nd year of a full-time doctoral program, ending at least in 2027 or later.

The Foundation is seeking Scholars who not only have a track record of academic achievement, but who also stand out for their agility, creativity, and engagement with difference

Required Documents

  1. At least one recommendation must be completed by an academic referee concerning your academic achievements and potential. Both referees will be asked to comment and answer questions on academic excellence and intellectual ability, capacity to engage with a plurality of perspectives, leadership and engagement, and agility and resilience, in relation to your candidacy
