The 60 million girls annual conference has become the meeting place for hundreds of people who are committed to empowering women and the communities of tomorrow. On Wednesday November 16th, 60 million girls is pleased to welcome Veronica Fynn as keynote speaker to help celebrate their 5th anniversary.
Veronica will share her experience as a teenager fleeing the civil war in her native Liberia to life in a refugee camp in Ghana. She will talk about the formidable challenges in her life and her unwavering belief in the value of education for her future. Veronica is now completing work on her PhD in International Law specifically studying gender based violence in rural post-war Liberia and the ways to support women in their quest for justice.
The event will take place from 6 to 9 pm at l'Ermitage on the Collège de Montréal campus, 3510 Côte-des-Neiges Road, Montreal. A cocktail and silent auction will precede the keynote address which will be given in English and French.
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased here.
And, of course, a 60 million girls conference would not be complete without an auction.
