World-renowned green chemist joining McGill

The decision to come to McGill as the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Green Chemistry and Green Chemicals means Robin Rogers will have to make a number of significant changes to his life. Among other things, it involves coming to a new university, a new city and a new country. One thing that Rogers won’t need to overhaul, however, is his wardrobe.

This one-of-a-kind trip brings students out of the traditional classroom setting and right into the hotbeds of economics, commerce, culture, finance, and national competitiveness. 30 students are selected from across all faculties!

McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management is located in the heart of downtown Montreal, one of the most affordable, diverse, sophisticated, and safe cities in the world. Located on the 5th floor of the Faculty are newly renovated facilities reserved exclusively for PhD students, professors and research centres.

This state-of-the-art floor includes a display wall and touchscreen monitor to showcase the latest published research, books, and awards, as well as comfortable offices for PhD students and professors, which are optimally designed to facilitate brainstorming. The spacious meeting room acts as a research space for all areas and is also used to run experiments by the Marketing area.

The cutting-edge Health Lab is for professors and trainees in the CREATE program and is equipped with computers linking them to a virtual hospital as well as Quebec’s supercomputing centre.
