PhD Specialization in Organizational Behaviour

The McGill PhD Program in Management provides students with a unique post-graduate educational experience that facilitates exposure to a variety of research approaches and interests, and to the combined resources of four top Montreal universities.

This collaborative program, offered in conjunction with Concordia University, École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) of the Université de Montréal, and Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), provides McGill students with access to over 250 professors and to a full array of courses taught in both English and French.

Master of Business Administration Concentration in Global Strategy and Leadership

Drawing on a variety of cross-disciplinary courses, including strategy, organizational behaviour, entrepreneurship and international business, this concentration provides students with an integrated perspective on leading business issues. Students are prepared for the challenges posed by a globalizing marketplace and develop the skills valued by employers in the consulting, business development, project management, and related fields.

Bachelor of Commerce Major in Labour Management Relations and Human Resources

Mentor: Prof. Robert Hebdon

This 30-credit major provides students with a general understanding of the factors affecting employer-employee relations, including labour unions and laws that regulate the employment relationship. It is integral to the practice of human resource management, particularly in a unionized environment.

Bachelor of Commerce Concentration in Labour Management Relations and Human Resources

Mentor: Prof. Robert Hebdon

The objective of this concentration is to provide a general understanding of the factors affecting employer-employee relations, both at the micro-level and in relation to the socio-economic context in which they occur. Students interested in more intensive study of this area are urged to consider the major in Labour Management Relations and Human Resources.

Bachelor of Commerce Concentration in Organizational Behaviour

Mentor: Prof. Mary Dean Lee

The Organizational Behaviour concentration provides an opportunity for students to increase their awareness of behavioural issues encountered in jobs and organizational settings, and to prepare themselves for graduate study in the behavioural sciences or for careers in general management or human resource management. Students interested in more intensive study of this area are urged to consider the major in Organizational Behaviour.

The Operations Management PhD Comprehensive Exam Requirements

Students entering the PhD Program with the Operations Management specialization are subject to the Operations Management PhD Comprehensive Exam Requirements. Excluded from the below outline are the University and Faculty requirements for completion of the PhD Degree, which remain in effect in addition to the Operations Management PhD Comprehensive Exam Requirement.

The PhD Comprehensive Examination requirements consist of three parts.
