Ready to Try the New WMS? Here's How to Get Started
Heard some rave reviews about McGill’s new Web Management System (WMS) and want to experience it for yourself? Good news: new site requests now have the option to be created in the new platform!
The new WMS offers a refreshed, modern editing experience and enhanced flexibility through tools like the Layout Builder. To see these features in action, visit the UX Examples site for live demonstrations and inspiration.
What to Know Before You Request
Before requesting a site in the new WMS, be sure to review which features are currently available and which are still in development. We’re currently heading into the launch of Phase 4, which means any features listed in future phases are not yet accessible.
You can consult the WMS migration phases page to get a clear overview of what’s ready and what’s coming next. For more details on how to use the page, see our article about using the migration status report page.
How to Request a Site in the New WMS
Once you’ve confirmed that the new WMS fits your site’s needs, simply submit a site request through the standard IT Services WMS request form.
Important: In the comments section of the form, make sure to specify that you’d like your site to be created in the new WMS.
